Description of Works:

The design, supply and installation of PU28-1 sheet piles 10.0m long to form 2 No temporary retaining walls to enable construction of a new tunnel to connect the new energy centre to the existing main hospital buildings. The sheet piling is required to support the ground and an existing car parking area where this is too close to the new construction to allow a battered excavation to be formed.
The piles were pre-augered and installed using an RTG RG19T telescopic leader rig.
A second visit will be required in order to extract the sheet piles – the piles will be extracted using the telescopic leader rig.
